Elizabeth J. Richmond, 84, of Anderson passed away Friday, June 24, 2011 at the Rawlins House and Health Community in Pendleton. She was born at Redkey on April 12, 1927 the daughter of Floyd "John" and Nila Rathbun Fowler. She was married to Charles Richmond on September 21, 1947 and he preceded her in death on July 18, 1991. Survivors include one son Ronald (Janet) Richmond of Anderson; one daughter Rebecca Cummins of Indianapolis; grandchildren Jason (Cari) Richmond of Noblesville, Matt (Libby) Richmond of Markleville, Megan Richmond and her companion Dan Hart of Fishers, and Monica Cummins of Indianapolis; 5 great-grandchildren; one brother Bob Fowler of Punta Gorda, Florida; her aunt Helen Wagner of Pendleton. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers Bill Fowler and Fred Fowler. Mrs. Richmond was a 1945 graduate of Indianapolis Howe High School. After high school she was contracted to draw directional maps for the US military. Elizabeth had also worked as a secretary for Leo Lippmann and Associates in Indianapolis and from 1960 to 1970 owned and operated Meadows Business Service, a secretarial service in Indianapolis. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 29 at 2pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. James Byerly officiating. Burial will be in the Tanglewood Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1pm until time of services. Memorials may be given to the Tanglewood Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
