Elwanda K. Hollingsworth, 59, of Milan passed away Monday, December 6, 2010 at her home. She was born at Milan on March 17, 1951 the daughter of Virgil and Beatrice Thomas Hollingsworth. Survivors include her daughter Jessica Hollingsworth and her husband Wesley Moyer of New Port Richey, Florida; grandson Warren Moyer; two sisters Dephane (Alec) Smith of Milan and Loraine Furlow of Osgood. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Robert Hollingsworth and her sister Betty Meinders.
Elwanda was a 1969 graduate of Milan High School and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Stumpke's Corner. She was a former employee of the Milan Furniture Factory, Romweber Furniture and the Union Furniture Company in Batesville. She retired from Seagrams as a line inspector. She was also a member of the Milan American Legion Auxiliary.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 9 at 5pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Pastor Ron Haseley officiating. Burial will be in the Craven Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 2pm until time of services with the Milan American Legion Auxiliary conducting services at 4:45pm. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or the Milan American Legion Auxiliary in care of the funeral home.
