Emma F. Miller, 82, of Holton passed away Saturday, October 9, 2010 at the Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville. She was born in Breathitt County, Kentucky on November 26, 1927 the daughter of Frank and Laura Watkins Moore. She was married to Harold Cunningham in 1966 and he preceded her in death on November 29, 1978. She was married to Dewey Miller on August 4, 1981 and he preceded her in death on December 15, 1992.
Survivors include one son Chester Junior (Vickie) Patrick of Holton; three daughters Elaine (Sam) Beeman of North Vernon, Evelyn (Jim) Patton of Columbus, and Ena (Roy) Barrett of Holton; 9 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren; one sister Phyllis Sue Hardy of Seymour; three brothers Bill Moore of Holton, George (Deanna) Moore of North Vernon, and James Sewell (Nancy) Moore of Madison. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Robert, Elmer, Johnny, and Raymond Moore, and her sisters Sarah Ann Sharp, Bertha Moore, and Frances Hollon.
Mrs. Miller was a former employee of the Manderley Nursing Home in Osgood and was of the Pentecostal faith. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 13 at 11am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Bro. Paul Hensley officiating. Burial will be in the Holton West Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5pm to 8pm. Memorials may be given to the donors choice.
