Erma Eaglin

Erma Eaglin, 81, of Elrod passed away Thursday, January 29, 2009 at her home. She was born near Milan on November 16, 1927 the daughter of Ernest and Marie Rupp Raffignone. She was married to Ivan Eaglin on July 16, 1949 and he survives. Other survivors include two sons, Terry (Rita) Eaglin of Versailles and John (Debbie) Eaglin of Elrod; four grandchildren, Craig (Stacey) Eaglin of Friendship, Corey (Krista) Eaglin of Elrod, Mark (Stephanine) Percifield of Pinellas Park, Florida, and Mindy (Brian) Bernahrdt of Clearwater, Florida; six great-grandchildren; two brothers Lovell Lee Raffignone of Elrod and Lowell Raffignone of Dillsboro. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Eaglin was a 1945 graduate of Versailles High School. She was a 75 year member of the Washington Baptist Church and served on the Washington Cemetery board for several years. She had also been the bookkeeper for Elrod Grain. Funeral services will be Monday, February 2nd at 10:30am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles. Burial will be in the Washington Cemetery at Elrod. Visitation will be Sunday from 3pm to 7pm. Memorials may be given to the Washington Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
