Esther Demaree

Esther Demaree, 89, of Rexville passed away Friday, July 30, 2010 at the Sycamore Glen Retirement Center in Miamisburg, Ohio. She was born at Peoria, Illinois on April 8, 1921 the daughter of James and Cora Bassett Pierce. She was married to Charles Demaree and he preceded her in death August 8, 1991. Survivors include one son Gene (Jo Jean) Demaree of Centerville, Ohio; two granddaughters Dara Demaree and her husband Kris Fraggos of Springboro, Ohio and Brandy (Brian) Vianello of Mariemont, Ohio; two grandsons Ronald (Patty) Samples of Indian Springs, Ohio and Gregory (Charlene) Samples of Hamilton, Ohio; great-grandchildren Talon Vianello, Demaree Vianello, Sarah Samples, Rebekah Samples, James (Trina) Samples, and Justin Samples; her brother Earl (Jacqueline) Pierce of Chillicothe, Illinois. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Lila Leigh Samples, her brother James Pierce, and her sisters Anna Bunch and Arliss Jones. Mrs. Demaree was a homemaker and a member of the Eastern Star Chapter 525 at Hanover. She had attended the West Fork Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 3 at 11:30am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Bro. Dale Day officiating. Burial will be in the Grandview Memorial Garden at Madison. Visitation will be from 10am until time of services. Memorials may be given to the Diabetes Association, American Cancer Society, or the West Fork Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.
