Estill King, Jr.,
83, of Dabney
passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at the
St. Vincent Jennings Hospital in North Vernon. He was born
at Combs in Perry County, Kentucky on January 9, 1930 the
son of Estill Sr. and Eunice Fletcher King. He was married
to Norma Sizemore on November 25, 1953 and she survives.
Other survivors include four sons Jerry (Felicia) King of
Dallas, Texas, Steve (Bambi) King, Daniel King, and Phil
(Kelly) King all of Dabney; 6 grandchildren and 9
great-grandchildren; three sisters Ruby (Dan) Herald of
Lexington, Kentucky, Maxine Morris of Middletown, Ohio,
and Louise (James) Conway of Lebanon, Ohio. He was
preceded in death by his parents and his daughter Vicki
Kay King. Mr. King was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War
where he served from 1948 to 1952 as a pipefitter on the
USS Collett. He was a former employee of the Magnod
Foundry in Middletown, Ohio and had retired as a
maintenance supervisor with ITT Thompson in North Vernon.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 15
at 1pm at the Dabney Baptist Church with calling from 11am
until time of services. Burial will be in the Dabney
Cemetery with military graveside rites by the Versailles
American Legion. Memorials may be given to the Dabney
Baptist Church in care of the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral
Home.
