Eunice D. Ledford

Eunice D. Ledford, 73, of Canaan passed away Monday, May 6, 2013 at the Ross Manor in Dillsboro. He was born at Trixie in Clay County, Kentucky on March 19, 1940 the son of Pearl and Lillie Colwell Ledford. Survivors include four brothers Charles (Pauline) Ledford of Englewood, Ohio, Arvil (Geraldine) Ledford of Dayton, Ohio, Seldon (Delores) Ledford of Crete, Illinois, and Hubert (Debbie) Ledford of Eaton, Ohio; one sister Donnetta (David) Pool of Greensburg. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother J. M. Ledford, and his sisters Mary Ledford and Bettie Bishop. Mr. Ledford was a self employed truck driver, retiring in 1982. Eunice attended the First Baptist Church in Dillsboro. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 9 at 7pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Sherman Hughes of the Bear Creek Baptist Church in Friendship officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 5pm until time of services. Graveside services will be held Friday at 12 pm at the Laurel Point Cemetery near Oneida, Kentucky. Memorials may be given to Child Evangelism Fellowship in care of the funeral home.
