Eva Baurley

Eva Baurle, 93, of Rexville passed away Sunday at the Kings Daughters Hospital in Madison. She was born near New Marion on December 6, 1908 the daughter of George and Dora McNew Gigerich. She was married to William Baurley on September 26, 1936 and he preceded her in death on September 11, 1984. Mrs. Baurley is survived by her daughter Doris Korte and her husband Edward of Clarksville; four sons, George and his wife Rosalie of New Marion, Charles and his wife Lynn of Versailles, Robert and his wife Bernita of Versailles, and Raymond and his wife Linda of Milan; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; sisters Rosemary Owens of Indianapolis, and Eileen Kieffer of New Marion. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter Carol Ann, her brothers Lawrence and Edmond Gigerich, and her sister Hilda Effinger. Mrs. Baurley was a homemaker and a member of the St. Magdelene Catholic Church. Mass of Christian burial will be Wednesday November 20 at 10am at St. John's Catholic Church in Osgood with Father Darvin Winters and Father Frank Eckstein officiating. Burial will be in the St. Magdelene Cemetery in North Madison. Calling will be Tuesday November 19 from 4pm to 8pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rosary services at 7:30pm. Memorials may be given to the St. Magdelene Catholic Church.
