Eva Champe

Eva Champe, 67, of Rexville passed away Thursday, January 8, 2009 at her home. She was born at Cross Plains on February 24, 1941 the daughter of Melvin and Maxine Woods Pettit. Survivors include one son Robert (Janet) Vanosdol, and one daughter Vicky (Rick) Pollard both of Versailles; grandchildren Chris Pollard and Erica Pollard; one sister Dorothy Wissell of Rexville; two brothers David Pettit of Versailles and Melvin Pettit of Cleves, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Angela, and her brother Jim Pettit. Mrs. Champe was a 30 year employee with Pollard's Bowl in Versailles. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January at 11am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Randy Thieman of the Shelby Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery at Cross Plains. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9am until time of services. Memorials may be given to the Shelby Christian Church in care of the funeral home.
