Evelyn F. Russell

Evelyn F. Russell, 86, of Milan passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at Ripley Crossing in Milan. She was born near Elrod on November 18, 1919 the daughter of Newton and Florence Stevens Rahe. She was married to William A. Russell and he preceded her in death on February 18, 1971. Survivors include two sons William Russell of Batesville and Doug Russell of Elrod; daughter Rose Ella Duffy of Ellijay, Georgia; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grand. She was preceded in death by her brothers Willard, Alvin, and George Rahe and her sisters Phoebe Lee and Carolyn Dunbar. Mrs. Russell was a homemaker, had formerly worked at Dillsboro Manor, and was a member of the Washington Baptist Church in Elrod. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December at 10am at the Washington Baptist Church in Elrod with Rev. Bruce Fitzsimmons officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5pm to 7pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles. Memorials may be given to the Washington Cemetery or the Washington Baptist Church Missionary Society.
