Florence F. Cizek

Florence F. Cizek, 92, of Versailles passed away at 5:30am Monday, December 5, 2016 at her home. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 1, 1924 the daughter of John and Josephine Matia Nicosia. She was married to Norman Cizek and he preceded her in death. Survivors include one son David Cizek of Versailles; three daughters Marjorie Martin of Versailles, Lucille Halvorsen of Elgin, Illinois, and Patty Harris of Braidwood, Illinois; 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; one brother John Nicosia of Chicago. Mrs. Cizek was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family including her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family said she was an excellent cook with her specialty being Italian dishes. Florence's wishes were to be cremated and there will be no services. The Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles is in charge of arrangements.
