Floyd Tingle

July 25, 1941 — October 3, 2017

**Floyd Tingle**, 76, of Benham passed away at 1:50am, Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at the Manderley Health Care Center in Osgood. He was born at Benham on July 25, 1941 the son of Stanley and Elsie Gelvin Tingle. He was married to Betty Loydene Hunt and she preceded him in death. Survivors include his sister Ruth (Delza) Thornton of Benham; his niece Sherry (Danny) Bauer of Dillsboro; great-niece Danielle Bauer of Louisville and great-nephew Matthew Bauer of Dillsboro. He was also preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers Ralph and Alton. Mr. Tingle attended the Benham School and was a farmer his entire life. Floyd and his brother Alton were avid tractor collectors, especially Farmall, but also any old tractors. Floyd was a member of the Ripley County FARM club, as well as tractor collecting clubs in Rushville, Brookville, and Greensburg. He also enjoyed fishing. Funeral services for Floyd will be held on Saturday, October 7 at 1pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Randy Thieman officiating. Burial will be in the Benham Cemetery. Visitation will also be on Saturday from 10am until time of services. Memorials may be given to the Benham Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
