Francis M. Hensley, 65, of Milan passed away Saturday, September 3, 2005 at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born near Manchester in Clay County, Kentucky on September 25, 1939 the son of Ed and Mabel Bowling Hensley. He was married to Norma Crowley on March 15, 1963 and she survives. Other survivors include one son David Hensley and his wife Barbara, one daughter Charlotte Norman and her husband Doug all of Milan; five grandchildren; three brothers Huey Hensley and Ed Hensley both of Milan, and Marvin Hensley of Pikeville, Kentucky; four sisters Mary Arnett of Frankfort, Kentucky, Sharon Hoskins of Manchester, Kentucky, Connie Hoskins, and Mayme Hampton both of Milan. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Eddie, one sister and one brother. Mr. Hensley was retired from Batesville Casket and was currently teaching Biology at the Cavehill Christian Academy. He was a member of the Cavehill Church of God and was a fifteen year member of the Ripley County Camp of Gideon's International. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 7 at the Cavehill Church of God with Bro. Pearl Cornett officiating. Burial will be in the Craven Cemetery in Milan. Visitation will be Tuesday, September from 4pm to 8pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles. Memorials may be given to the Gideons in care of the funeral home.
