G. Conrad Green, 54, of Winterville, GA, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012 in Smyrna, GA. He was born Oct. 9, 1957 in Milan, the son of John E. and Dorothy (Stevenson) Green. He married Yenny M. Vara Green on March 28, 2003.
Conrad is survived by his wife of nine years, Yenny, and son, George S. Green, both of Winterville, GA, and son Hyatt C. Green (Olivia) of Cincinnati, OH; his mother, Dorothy L. Green of Canaan; two sisters, Terri K. Exmeyer (Clark) of Evansville, and Lorri D. Bartle (Don) of Jacksonville, FL; one brother, Robert J. Green (Dena) of Dover, KY; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, John E. Green in 1987; his grandparents, Dale & Grace Stevenson and George and Mabel Hyatt.
Conrad graduated from South Ripley High School in 1976 and attended Ball State University and the University of Georgia where he studied art and became a skilled potter. He enjoyed renovating his home in Winterville and building projects with his young son, George. He loved his family and was always willing to help his friends and neighbors.
Conrad was a member of the Cross Plains Baptist Church and DeMolay. He loved baseball. Graveside services were held at Athens Memory Gardens on Monday, July 16. You may send online condolences and donations to the George S. Green Education Fund by visiting skfuneralhome.com.
