George F. Geabes, 82, of Seymour passed away Friday, November 11, 2011 at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born at Clay City, Indiana on February 11, 1929 the son of Paul and Emma Spreen Geabes. He was married to Lou Ellen Sanders and she survives. Other survivors include two sons George Scott (Suzann) Geabes and John P. Geabes both of Seymour; one daughter Lou Ann (Archie) Sams of Campbellsville, Kentucky. Mr. Geabes was a veteran of the Air Force where he served with the 373 Squadron at Lackland, AFB, Texas. George was a former resident of Bedford and was a member Bedford F & AM #14. He was an Electronics Technician having worked for GAC, an RCA distributor in Indianapolis. Graveside services will be held Monday, November 14 at 11am at the Cliff Hill Cemetery in Versailles with Rev. David Shivers of the Hopewell Baptist Church officiating. Memorials may be given to the donor's choice in care of the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles.
