Gertrude E. Lee, 91, of Versailles passed away Monday, October 16, 2006 at Ross Manor in Dillsboro. She was born at Morningview, Kentucky on August 25, 1915 the daughter of Charles and Catherine Hopper Rohrig. Survivors include one son Willard (Duke) Elliott and his wife Rosella of Versailles; one daughter Deloris Servizi and her husband Anthony of Cincinnati; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands John Utley, John Elliott, and Roscoe Lee; brothers John, Julius, Sylvester, Raymond, Stanley, Charles, and Frederick Rohrig; sisters Elizabeth Sauer, Nora Sommer, and Rachel Epperson, and her grandson John Elliott. Mrs. Lee was an attendant at the Madison State Hospital retiring in 1970. She was also a homemaker and a member of the Tanglewood Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 20 at 10:30am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. David Blazier of the West Fork Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Tanglewood Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5pm to 8pm. Memorials may be given to the Tanglewood Cemetery.
