Gladys Witwer

Gladys Witwer, 93, of Versailles passed away Friday, September 29, 2006 at the Heritage House in Greensburg. She was born at Barbourville in Harlan County, Kentucky on January 7, 1913 the daughter of William and Alice Brock Payne. Survivors include one sister, Connie Tunny and her husband Charles of Osgood along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother William Payne, Jr., and her sisters Golda Payne, Mary Faye Thompson, and Jean Opal White. Mrs. Witwer was a retired Licensed Vocational Nurse and was a former resident of Redondo Beach, California. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 3 at 11am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles. Visitation will be from 10am until time of services. Burial will be in the Grandview Memorial Garden near Madison. Memorials may be given to the donor's choice.
