H. B. Carroll,
67, of Columbus
passed away at 1 p.m., Monday, July 28, 2025 at
his home. He was
born in Cincinnati on February 16, 1958, the son of Howard and
Anna Mae Logan
Carroll. He was married to Sherry Hamlin and she survives. Other
survivors include
one son Michael Carroll of Greensburg; one daughter Kimberly
(Mike) Rippetoe of
Batesville; step-sons Shawn Perdue and Christopher Perdue of
Columbus, and
Justin (Julia) Perdue of Milan; step-daughter Lutecia Perdue of
Columbus; 11
grandchildren; three brothers Don Carroll of Osgood, Charles
(Monica) Carroll
of Nashville, Tennessee, and Robert (Kathy) Carroll of
Manchester; two sisters
Liz Wesson of Livingston, Alabama and Lucy (Tommy) Claborn of
Byrdstown,
Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents and his
sister Jane Bowen.
Mr. Carroll attended school at Jac-Cen-Del and was a former
employee of NTNBCA
in Greensburg as well as a truck driver for the North Vernon
Beverage Company.
HB enjoyed boating and fishing and he and Sherry were avid
campers, spending
much time at Indian Lakes. Funeral services will be held on
Friday, August 1 at
2 p.m. at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with
Bro. Rick Cross
officiating. Burial will be in the Holton Cemetery. Visitation
will also be on
Friday, beginning at 12 p.m. Memorials may be given to the
Holton Cemetery or
Safe Passage in care of the funeral home.
