Helen Louise Ballard

Helen Louise Ballard, 78, of Sunman passed away at 9:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at her home. She was born in Cincinnati on February 12, 1945 the daughter of Owen and Elsie May Smith Holaway. She was married to Earl Ballard on July 17, 1965 and he preceded her in death on July 3, 2005. Survivors include two sons Eddie Ballard of Madison and Robert Ballard of Sunman; one daughter Kathy Ballard also of Sunman. She was also preceded in death by her parents, son Michael, her brothers Kenneth and Robert Holaway, and her sisters Dorothy Seller and Juanita Gilbreath. Mrs. Ballard was a homemaker and attended the First Southern Baptist Church at Sunman. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday October 14 at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Don Yates officiating. Burial will be in the Cliff Hill Cemetery in Versailles. Visitation will also be on Saturday beginning at 2 p.m. Memorials may be given to the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
