Helen B. Turner Of Osgood

Helen B. Turner of Osgood passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014 at her residence. She was born at Rushville, Indiana, the daughter of Ferda and Frances Ryckman Montgomery. She married Ira Turner on a family farm in Rush County, Indiana on June 12, 1953. Survivors include three daughters Diana Turner of Osgood, Linda (Scott) Bailey of Middletown, Ohio and Tina (Tom) Holmes of Harrison, Ohio, 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; three brothers Kenny (Joyce), Lee (Mary), Tom all of Rushville, three sisters Ruth (Jay) McClarnon of Greenfield, Linda (Danny) Matthews of Rushville, Darlene (Aaron) Young of Rushville. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her son Mike in 1988. Mrs. Turner was a 1953 graduate of Rushville High School. Mr. and Mrs. Turner owned and operated the H I T Department Store in Osgood. Helen was a member of the Osgood United Methodist Church and she loved to play bingo. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 26 at 10:30am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Mike Cantrell officiating. Burial will be in the Grandview Memorial Gardens at Madison. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5pm to 8pm. Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association in care of the funeral home.
