Henrietta L. Carroll

**Henrietta L. Carroll,** 92, of Osgood passed away at 9:30pm Monday, November 23, 2015 at the Manderley Health Care Center in Osgood. She was born near Greensburg on April 2, 1923 the daughter of John and Dora Helmich Moeller. She was married to Rea Carroll on October 25, 1947 and he preceded her in death on June 18, 2013. Survivors include two sons Dr. Michael (Marsha) Carroll of Dayton, Ohio and Dennis (Debbie) Carroll of Osgood; one daughter Marilyn Carroll of Naples, Florida; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; one sister Maritta Cherry of Greensburg. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her great-grandson Chase Aaron Carroll, and her brothers Norbert, Wallace, Maurice, Robert, and John Moeller. Mrs. Carroll was a 1941 graduate of Greensburg High School and had worked as a secretary for the Jac-Cen-Del Schools. She was an excellent baker, cook, and seamstress and had many sewing entries and winners in the Indiana State Fair. She and her husband Rea were members of the Ripley County Farm Bureau and American Angus Association and were well known throughout the state for their herd of show cattle. They were also active supporters of 4-H in Ripley County. Henrietta was also a member of the St. John Catholic Church in Osgood. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 30 at 10am at the St. John Catholic Church in Osgood with Father Bill Turner officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 4pm to 6pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rosary services at 3:30pm. Memorials may be given to the Ripley Wranglers 4-H club or the St. John Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
