Herbert Grigsby, 77, of Versailles passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at the Kings Daughters Hospital in Madison. He was born at Hazard, Kentucky on December 27, 1927 the son of Monroe and Susan Noble Grigsby. He was married to Nettie Myers on February 27, 1951 and she survives. Other survivors include three daughters, Onita Stephan and her husband Daniel of Canaan, Valerie Miller and her husband Robby of Hanover, and Debbie Grigsby and her fiancé Rev. Bob Harting of Versailles; grandchildren Tara McKay of Madison, Damon Stephan of Canaan, Karrie Miller of Hanover, and Andrea, Amanda, and Ashli Harting; one brother Lee Grigsby of Versailles and one sister Nona Adams of Fairview. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Tommy Grigsby, grandson Danny Joe Stephan, brothers Luke, Ned, Alonzo, and Will Grigsby and his sister Burley Grigsby. Mr. Grigsby was a retired farmer. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 4th at 11am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Bob Harting of the First Baptist Church in Osgood officiating. Burial will be in the New Marion Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, November 3rd from 5pm to 8pm. Memorials may be given to the New Marion Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
