Hilda May Hyatt

Hilda May Hyatt, 95, of Osgood passed away Thursday, July 8, 2004 at the Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville. She was born near Rexville on February 26, 1909 the daughter of Jesse and Minda Ford Lewis. She was married to Edmond Hyatt on February 28, 1935 and he preceded her in death on February 15, 1997. Survivors include one son, Dale Hyatt and his wife Ruth of Osgood; one grandson Benji Hyatt. She was preceded in death by her brothers Ernest and Robert Lewis and sisters Abbie Myers and Grace Sproessig. Mrs. Hyatt was a homemaker and a 1927 graduate of New Marion High School. She also had attended Ball State University and was a member of the Jehovah's Witness Church. Mrs. Hyatt enjoyed gardening and sewing. Funeral services will be held Monday, July at 1pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Garland Rudd of the Cedar Creek Community Church. Burial will be in the Benham Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the cemetery in care of the funeral home.
