Howard J. "Bob" Green

Howard J. "Bob" Green, 91, of Clinton, Kentucky, formerly of Cross Plains passed away Thursday, December 7, 2006 at the Arbor Place Health Care Center in Clinton. He was born at Cross Plains on January 15, 1915 the son of John and Anna West Green. He was married to Evelyn Spencer on January 16, 1942 and she preceded him in death on April 26, 1993. Survivors include one son Bill Green and his wife Millie of Mayfield, Kentucky; one daughter Barbara Sofianos and her husband George of Wheaton, Indiana; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; one brother Lawrence Green of Versailles. Mr. Green was a retired farmer and had formerly worked at Jefferson Proving Ground. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Olean. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December at 11am at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Olean with Pastor Marcus Felde officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6pm to 8pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles and from 10am until time of services at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials may be given to the church or cemetery in care of the funeral home.
