Ilene Mcgee

Ilene McGee, 83, of Friendship passed away Monday, April 12, 2004 at the Waters of Ross Manor at Dillsboro. She was born at Friendship on January 11, 1921 the daughter of Fred and Erma Damon Hartig. She was married to Dale McGee on October 22, 1949 and he preceded her in death on February 19, 2003. Mrs. McGee was a homemaker and had worked the admission gate at the NMLRA in Friendship for 35 years. She is survived by her son Kenneth McGee and his wife Judy of Cross Plains; grandson Kevin McGee and his wife Danielle of Pleasant and her great-grandson Logan McGee. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 14, 2004 at 2pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Sherman Hughes of the Bear Creek Baptist Church officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12pm until the time of services. Burial will be in the Oakdale Cemetery in Dillsboro. Memorials may be given to the Friendship Fire Department.
