Irene Kocher

Irene Kocher, 76, of Indianapolis passed away Friday, August 23, 2013 at her home. She was born at Darfork in Perry County, Kentucky on December 12, 1936 the daughter of John and Kizzie Engle Watts. She was married to Richard Kocher on April 16, 1960 and he survives. Other survivors include one brother Jim (Mary Lou) Watts of Versailles. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers Ray, Cecil, David, and Russell Watts. Mrs. Kocher was a 1955 graduate of Versailles High School and was a former employee of Railroadmens Savings and Loan in Indianapolis. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Mike Cantrell of the Versailles Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Cliff Hill Cemetery, Versailles. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or the Cliff Hill Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
