Irvin R. Meierle

**Irvin R. Meierle**, 75, of New Marion passed away Sunday, November 27, 2011 at the Dearborn County Hospital in Lawrenceburg. He was born near New Marion on March 12, 1936 the son of Charles and Clara Matz Meierle. Survivors include one son Michael (Paula) Meierle of Dublin, Ohio; two brothers Harold Meierle of New Marion and Garry (Janet) Meierle of Benham; two sisters Genevieve Pickett of Los Angeles and Charlotte (Robert) Terrican of St. Louis. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Dalbert, Marcee, and Charles Meierle, and his sisters Mary Gigerich, Evelyn Meierle, and Ruth Burske. Mr. Meierle was a 1954 graduate of New Marion High School and was a member of St. Magdalene Catholic Church. Irvin was a former sales representative for Moor-Man Feeds, had been a farmer, electrician, and had served as an engineer on a barge operating on the Mississippi River. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, December at 10:30am at St. Magdalene Catholic Church in New Marion. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5pm to 8pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rosary services at 7:30pm. Memorials may be given to the St. Magdalene Cemetery or the donors choice in care of the funeral home.
