Jack L. Miller

March 4, 1930 — June 11, 2004

Jack L. Miller, 74, of Versailles, passed away Friday, June 11, 2004 at the residence of his nephew Dennis Hoeferkamp near New Marion with whom he made his home. Mr. Miller was born near Napoleon on March 4, 1930 the son of Oral and Hilda Schmele Miller. Survivors include his step-mother, Mrs. Mae Miller of Versailles; one sister Betty Hoeferkamp Skelton of Versailles and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his half-brother Charles R. Miller. Mr. Miller was a 1947 graduate of Versailles High School and served in the US Air Force during the Korean War where he was stationed in New Foundland. He was a 47 year employee of Seagrams Distillery in Lawrenceburg. Mr. Miller was a member of the Aurora American Legion and the Aurora Masonic Lodge. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 15 at 11am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Bro. Dale Day of the Versailles Church of Christ and Rev. Garland Rudd of the Cedar Creek Community Church officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 15 from 5pm to 7pm. Burial will be in the Cliff Hill Cemetery in Versailles with military graveside rites given by the Aurora American Legion. Memorials may be given to the donors choice.
