Jackie Amos

Jackie L. Amos, 71, of Holton passed away at 7:20 a.m., Thursday, August 20, 2026 at Norton Clark Hospital in Jeffersonville. She was born at Milan on February 28, 1955, the daughter of Beverly Shook and Mary Flint (Bratten). She was married to Philip Amos on July 4, 1992 and he survives. Other survivors include two sons Jerad Amos (Sarah Bauman) of Versailles and Danny Yeager of North Vernon; one daughter Stephanie (Randy) Bushhorn of Delaware; 8 grandchildren; two brothers Daniel Shook of Louisville and Chris Shook of Butlerville. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Steve Shook. Mrs. Amos attended South Ripley High School and worked in merchandising for Driveline which involved setting up Dollar General Stores. Jackie enjoyed her work, shopping, her grandchildren, and attending their sporting events. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Tuesday, August 25 at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Randy Thieman officiating. Visitation will also be on Tuesday beginning at 1 p.m. Memorials may be given to Special Olympics in care of the funeral home.
