James W. Henson, 63, of Cross Plains passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at I.U. Medical Center in Indianapolis. He was born in Seymour on April 29, 1944 the son of James L. and Alma Lavonne Hatton Henson. He was married to Karla Smallwood on August 24, 1971 and she survives. Other survivors include one son, J.W. Henson of Cross Plains, and one daughter, Sherry Yocum of Cross Plains and two grandchildren, Cody Hauer and Elisha Henson; three brothers, Gary of Dryridge, KY, Terry of Brownstown, and Bill of Bedford; three sisters, Janice Crities of Ellettsville, Frances Webster of Bedford, and Vivian Christopher of Brownstown. His parents and three brothers preceded him in death. Mr. Henson and his wife retired being an owner/operator of an Amoco Service Station in Brownstown, Indiana. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be given to the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
