James D. Seal, 48, of New Washington passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2006 as the result of an accident while working at the Charlestown Powder Plant. He was born September 3, 1957 in Cincinnati the son of Edward and Theda Lovora Seal. He was married to Joyce Asher Box on August 5, 2005 and she survives. Other survivors include one son James Seal and one daughter Kayla Seal both of Greendale; step-children Jason Morris and Mark Morris both of Jacksonville, Tennessee; grandson Tristen Morris; his mother Theda Seal of Holton; four brothers, Rick Seal of Madison, Jerry Seal of Bennington, Randy Seal of Holton, and Todd Seal of Charlestown; one sister Debbie White of Moores Hill.
Mr. Seal was an employee of Nickell's Construction in Charlestown and was an Army veteran. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 15 at 1pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Reggie Tucker officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 5pm to 8pm. Military honors will be conducted at the funeral home by the Versailles American Legion. Memorials may be given to the donors choice.
