Jeffery E. Benham, 48, of Versailles passed away Saturday, April 16, 2011 at the University Hospital in Cincinnati. He was born at Huntington, Indiana on December 16, 1962 the son of James E. and Charleen Callaway Benham. He was married to Jan Lagle on December 16, 1988 and she survives. Other survivors include his parents James Benham of Greensburg and Charleen Benham of Indianapolis; two sons Joseph (Alicia) Benham and Joshua (Brittany) Benham both of Versailles; two daughters Tasha Benham and friend John Moe of Versailles and Katie (Josh) Jessee of Osgood; 8 grandchildren; two sisters Candace Woodward of Greensburg and Cassandra (Marc) Lightner of Indianapolis. Mr. Benham was a self-employed logger and was a member of the Eagles Lodge at Greensburg and the Sons of the American Legion in Greensburg. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11am at the Cedar Creek Community Church near Osgood with Rev. Garland Rudd officiating. Burial will be in the Benham Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5pm to 8pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles and from 10am until time of services Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be given to the Benham Cemetery or the Cedar Creek Church in care of the funeral home.
