**Jeffrey Scott Harris**, 52, of Versailles passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at his home.
He was born at Dayton in Kenton County, Kentucky on February 18, 1962 the son of Charles W. and Joyce Johnson Harris. Survivors include one son Gregory (Heather) Harris of Sydney, Ohio; two daughters Amanda (Marcus) Roll also of Sydney, and Shannon (Rob) Goddard of Versailles; step-children Darrell Brewer, Angela Neeley, Bobbie Jo Callen, and Dathan Brewer; 20 grandchildren; three brothers Cecil (Sharon) Mutter of Cleves, Ohio, Darrell (Sharon) Mutter of Cincinnati, and Charles (Lynette) Harris of Dry Ridge, Kentucky; one sister Jodi Overpeck of Erlanger, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Harris was a veteran of the US Army where he served as a Light Wheel Vehicle Mechanic with the 24 Signal Battalion. He received the Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Driver and Mechanic Badge, Army Achievement Medal with four Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Commendation Medal, and the Army Good Conduct Medal. In civilian life he was employed as a truck driver with Nickle's Bakery in Cincinnati. Jeff was a member of the Norwood, Ohio Masonic Lodge.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 12 at 12 pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Doug Norman and Rev. Don Buck officiating. Burial will be in the Cliff Hill Cemetery at Versailles with military graveside rites by the Versailles American Legion. Visitation will be Thursday from 10am until time of services. Memorials may be given to the Versailles American Legion in care of the funeral home.
