**Jerry D. Brower**, 53, of Dabney passed away Friday, June 30, 2006 as the result of an accident near Osgood. He was born at Milan on August 8, 1952 the son of Vernie and Mabel Shelley Brower. He was married to Janet Murray on October 25, 1969 and she survives. Other survivors include one son, John Brower and his wife Mary of Holton; two daughters, Michelle Pickett of Brooksburg, and Elizabeth Cathey and her husband Eugene of Westport; grandchildren David Pickett, Hayley and Lane Cathey; one brother, Darwin Brower and his wife Rebecca of Holden, Missouri; two sisters, Darla Jones and her husband Randy of Dabney and Diane Miller and her husband Wayne of Huntsville, Alabama.
Mr. Brower had formerly worked as a mechanic at the Humphrey Motor Company in Osgood. He was a 32 year employee of the Southeastern Indiana REMC and was currently serving as a journeyman lineman. He was a member of the Dabney Baptist Church and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 4 at 10am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Charles Cole officiating. Burial will be in the Brower Family Cemetery near Holton. Visitation will be Monday from 5pm to 8pm. Memorials may be given to the donors choice.
