Jim Rohrig

Jim Rohrig, 71, of Versailles passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at his home. He was born at Blue Ash, Ohio on September 6, 1937, the son of John T. and Alma Sizemore Rohrig. He was married to Pauline Reynolds on June 8, 1957 and she survives. Other survivors include four daughters, Vickie (Jack) McMillan and Kim (Kim) Hoffman both of Milan, Robin (Bud) Davis and Tammy (Mark) Hartman both of Versailles; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; one brother, George Rohrig of Osgood; three sisters, Posey (Robert) Lauber of Sunman, Skeeter (Fred) Manning of West Harrison, and Millie Edmondson of Tucson, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers John T. Rohrig, Jr., Roy, and Curtis, and his sister Bertie Roy. Mr. Rohrig was a 1956 graduate of Versailles High School. He was a self-employed contractor and was also a farmer. He was a member of the Hope Baptist Church at Dillsboro. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 6pm at the Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Holt officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 3pm until time of services. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or the Hope Baptist Church in care of the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles.
