Joann Cole

Joann Cole, 69, of Batesville, formerly of Versailles, passed away Friday, June 11, 2010 at the Waters of Batesville. She was born at Milan on February 19, 1941 the daughter of Owen and Anna Bushhorn Cross. Survivors include two daughters Michelle (Rodney) Sellers and Katrina (Jerry) Keck both of Versailles; two sons Dwayne (Marci) Cole of Hanover and Joe (Saradee) Cole of Versailles; 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; two brothers David (Mary Chris) Cross of Milan and Earl (Sharon) Cross of Aurora; two sisters Delores Benham of Milan and Joyce (Richard) Meyer of Mexico. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Janet Cross. Mrs. Cole was a 1959 graduate of Milan High School and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of Batesville. She was a former employee of US Shoe at Osgood and Ohio Rod Products in Versailles. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 16 at 11am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Batesville with Bishop Pete Watkins officiating. Burial will be in the Craven Cemetery at Milan. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5pm to 8pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles and from 10am until time of services Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be given to the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
