John W. Fullmer, Sr., 74, of Osgood passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at the Manderley Health Care Center in Osgood. He was born near Osgood on November 9, 1932 the son of Clarence and Theresa Rose Fullmer. He was married to Sonja Sue Stille on February 25, 1959 and she preceded him in death on February 11, 1987.
Survivors include one son, John W. Fullmer, Jr. of Osgood; four daughters, Brenda Groves and Annettea Kay Fullmer both of Osgood, Deborah Brewer of Holton, and Rebecca Hammond and her husband Dennis of Scipio; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; one brother Jacob Fullmer of Osgood; three sisters, Betty Biddle of Vevay, Mary Rheinfrank of Osgood, and Ada Louise Deaton of Hamilton, Ohio. He was also preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Clarence.
Mr. Fullmer was a former employee of Schneider's Scrap Metal and Thayer's Hatchery both in Osgood. He was a member of the IBEW.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 3pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Don Buck of the Osgood Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Hopewell Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 1pm until time of services. Memorials may be given to the Cancer Fund in care of the funeral home.
