Jon G. Elam

**Jon G. Elam**, 58, of Versailles passed away Monday, May 20, 2013 at the Silver Memories Nursing Home near Versailles. He was born in Birmingham, Alabama on May 9, 1955 the son of Karl and Ruth Geraldine (Gerri) Worley Vessel Elam. He was married to Terri Billger on June 9, 2006 and she survives. Other survivors include two daughters Nicole Elam of Madison and Mikayla Elam at home; one step-daughter Kendra Craig of Naples, Florida; one brother Wayne (Liz) Elam of Pensacola, Florida; two sisters Rhonda (Jeff) Makstaller and Pat Devaud both of Dillsboro; 4 grandchildren; his mother-in-law Jeris Billger of Versailles. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Jackie Rosier. Mr. Elam was an independent drywall contractor having done the drywall and finish work on several homes in the Versailles area. A celebration of Jon's life will be held on Saturday, June 1 at 3pm at the home of Jeff and Rhonda Makstaller at 15565 Boyd Road in Dillsboro. Memorials may be given to the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
