Vecie ‘Joyce’ Blazier, 76, went home to the Father on September 3rd, 2026.She is survived by her husband David, granddaughter Amarani, sons Justin (Kay), Aaron (Diana), And daughter Chris (Bill). She is also survived by her brother Joe David (Sue), sister Anna Mae, and numerous nieces, nephews, and grands. Joyce was born on June 22, 1950 to parents Alta Lee and Clarence Ledington. She is a graduate of Halls High School (1968) and the Wendel College of Cosmetology. She has held jobs from beautician, clerk, deli, retail demonstrator and sales, to serving the Southeastern Career Center and South Ripley Schools as a teacher aid and substitute. Along with being a devoted wife of 56 years, mother, grandmother, and homemaker, Joyce was a consistent partner in the ministry with David. Her dedication to her family and community will be sorely missed. Along with raising 3 wonderful children of her own, it seemed at times she was raising half the neighborhood. It was always amazing how many people knew Joyce but had no idea who her husband the pastor was. There will be a gathering and a time of visitation for Joyce at the West Fork Baptist Church on Tuesday, September 8 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Memorials may be given to the Liberty Baptist Church, West Fork Baptist Church, or the Southeastern Baptist Youth Camp in care of the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles.
Fathers blessings to all who she touched. May your memories be sweet and uplifting.
