Kitty Busteed

Kitty Jones Busteed, 84, of Versailles, died at her home July 9, 2026. She is survived by her children: Jim L. Busteed of Versailles, Tammy Johnson of Solsberry and Timothy (Jennie) Busteed of Morehead, NC; four grandchildren; Makenzie (Becky) Johnson of LaFontaine, Grayson Busteed, Katherine Busteed and Nolan Busteed all of Morehead City, NC; two great grandchildren Cooper and Niko Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Busteed; Her parents Arnold and Alta Jones and 3 siblings.

She was a life long member of Dabney Baptist Church. She enjoyed being in nature and admired the intricacies of God’s creations.

A private service will be scheduled at the family’s convenience. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her honor to the charity of your choice.
