Laura Mae Bush

Laura Mae Bush, 78, of Holton passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at the Kings Daughters Hospital in Madison. She was born near Holton on October 23, 1932 the daughter of Willard and Helen Pickett Lauber. She was married to Wilford Bush and he preceded her in death on April 4, 2002. Survivors include one daughter Mari Jo (Steven) Butler of Columbus; two sons Randy Bush of Aurora and Jeremy Bush of Holton; three grandchildren Adrienne Butler and Katherine Butler both of Indianapolis, and Dakota Fraley of Franklin; one sister Carol Bart of Peoria, Illinois. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her sister Rosadell LaFollette. Mrs. Bush was a homemaker and ran an upholstery business from her home for 30 years. In her younger years she had worked as a nanny for a family in Cincinnati. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 26 at 12pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. David Shivers of the Hopewell Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Hopewell Cemetery near Holton. Visitation will be Saturday from 10am until time of services. Memorials may be given to the Hopewell Baptist Church building fund in care of the funeral home.
