Lawrence J. Strong

Lawrence J. Strong, 87, of Batesville passed away at 8:55pm Monday, May 1, 2017 at the Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville. He was born at Chardon, Ohio on January 6, 1930 the son of Robert and Ellen Mark Strong. He was married to Mary Ellen Curran Cave on March 21, 1998 and she survives. Other survivors include one daughter Becky Strong of Orlando, Florida; three sons Steve (Mary) Strong and Allyn (Jine) Strong both of Orlando, and Dennis (Janet) Strong of Pensacola, Florida; one step-son Jim (Lumi) Smith of Fairmont, West Virginia; one step-daughter Rebecca (Scott) Krohn of Batesville; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; one sister Ellen, and two brothers Paul and Bill both of Cleveland, Tennessee. Mr. Strong was retired from DA Lubricants in Indianapolis where he worked in sales. Lawrence's wishes were to be cremated and services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles is in charge of arrangements.
