Lee R. Tucker

Lee R. Tucker, 79, of Holton passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at his home. He was born in the Flat Rock community near Osgood on February 10, 1928 the son of Lester and Daisy Hull Tucker. Survivors include one brother Ray Tucker and his wife Marian of Dabney; three sisters, Bonnie Smith and husband Edwin of Salem, Ill., Hertha Jones of Holton, and Joan Krall and her husband Norris of Osgood along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Beulah Adams. Mr. Tucker was a 1947 graduate of Holton High School. He was a retired jeweler having operated a jewelry business in Brownsburg and with his uncle operated Tucker's Jewelry Store in Osgood as well as a watch repair business from his home. He had also served as a retired Rural Mail Carrier and assistant Post Master at Holton. Mr. Tucker was a member of the Dabney Baptist Church where he served many years as church treasurer. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with Rev. Charles Cole of the Dabney Baptist Church officiating.
