Leona M. Middleton

Leona M. Middleton, 77, of Lawrenceburg passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at University Hospital in Cincinnati. She was born near Elrod on April 17, 1931 the daughter of Orvin and Mary Peaslee Boyd. She was married to Robert Middleton on December 27, 1952 and he preceded her in death on November 9, 2001. Survivors include one aunt, Mrs. Rosetta Bradley of Rising Sun; cousins Mary Shockey of Versailles, Fern Day of Connersville, and Marie Gilmore of Rising Sun. Mrs. Middleton was a 1950 graduate of Versailles High School. She retired in 1990 as a medical secretary for Dr. Henry Conrad in Lawrenceburg. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 14 at 11am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Bruce Fitzsimmons of the Washington Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Oakdale Cemetery at Dillsboro. Visitation will be Friday from 10am until time of services at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Dearborn County Animal Shelter in care of the funeral home.
