Leroy "Lee" W. Kemker

Leroy "Lee" W. Kemker, 80, of Milan passed away Friday, January 2, 2004 at the Ripley Crossing in Milan. He was born near Milan on July 18, 1923 the son of Charles and Theresa Beach Kemker. He was married to Elaine Everage on August 28, 1946 and she survives. Other survivors include one son, William Kemker, two daughters, Linda Scoggins and Diane Gordon, all of Milan; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; five sisters, Jane Adams of Osgood, Daisy Linzy of Texas, Norma Sutton of Batesville, Kathryn Holt of Versailles, and Patricia Morris of Moores Hill. Mr. Kemker was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister, and two grandchildren. He was a former employee of the Milan Furniture Factory and had retired from Romwebers in Batesville. Mr. Kemker was a member of the Versailles Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am Monday, January 5 at the Versailles Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Walker and Rev. Richard Burcham officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 am until time of services at the church. Memorials may be given to the donor's choice. The Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles is in charge of the arrangements.
