Lisa Franklin

**Lisa Franklin**, 41, of Austin, formerly of Holton, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2004 at the Scott County Hospital in Scottsburg. She was born at Batesville on February 7, 1963 the daughter of Gene and Shirley Estell Franklin. Ms. Franklin was a 1981 graduate of South Ripley High School and attended Franklin College where she played basketball and softball. She graduated with a Bachelors degree in park management from Ball State in 1985 and later from Vincennes University with a degree in physical therapy. She worked as a physical therapist for the St. Vincent Jennings Community Hospital in North Vernon. She was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church. Survivors include her companion Chrissy Anderson; parents, Gene and Shirley Franklin of the Hopewell community; children, Chad Anderson and Sammy Prather at home; her paternal grandmother Mrs. Ida Franklin of the Hopewell community; one brother Darrell Franklin of Holton; two nephews, one niece, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 12, 2004 at 11am at the Hopewell Baptist Church with Rev. David Shivers officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 11 from 4pm to 8pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles. Memorials may be given to the Heart Fund or to the Hopewell Baptist Church building fund.
