Lois Wilhelm Salmon, 94, of Versailles passed away Sunday, July 12th, 2009 at Manderley Health Care Center in Osgood. She was born in Russell County, Kentucky on March 10, 1915, the daughter of Samuel and Kate Antle Browning. She was married to Everett Wilhelm on March 5, 1932 and later married Richard Salmon on November 5, 1983. He preceded her in death on March 12, 1988. She is survived by two daughters; Jill Swinney of Osgood and Sue Meisberger of Versailles, seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, two sisters; Rosemary Turner of Russell Springs, Kentucky and Louise Cruse of Lincoln, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother; Bill Browning, and one sister; Susan Cruse. Mrs. Salmon was retired from G.A. Triplett in Osgood, a member of the Versailles Baptist Church and a member of the Rebekah Lodge in Osgood. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 16 at 10am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Pastor Bob Harting officiating. Burial will be in the Cliff Hill Cemetery at Versailles. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5pm to 8pm. Memorials may be given to the Versailles Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.
