Loredith (Bea) Rudd

Loredith (Bea) Rudd, 80, of North Vernon passed away Sunday, November 16, 2008 at her home. She was born at Cannel City in Morgan County, Kentucky on June 28, 1928 the daughter of G. B. and Ora Francis Nickell. She was married to Rev. Garland Rudd on April 17, 1948 and he survives. Other survivors include one son Ronald (Ginny) Rudd of Westport; one daughter, Sheila (Dennis) Schuler of North Vernon; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Lavodis Walton and Elizabeth McPherson both of Fairborn, Ohio, Lillian Perkins of Malone, Kentucky, and Catherine Ferry of Yellow Springs, Ohio; two brothers, Edsel Nickell of Fairborn, Ohio and James (Bud) Nickell of Lexington, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Gail Leudeke, and her brothers Venice, Denzil, and Emzil Nickell. Mrs. Rudd was a homemaker and had worked by her husband's side in pastoring the Cedar Creek Community Church near Osgood since 1963. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 19 at 10:30am at the Cedar Creek Community Church. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5pm to 8pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles and from 9:30am until time of services Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be given to the Cedar Creek Community Church in care of the funeral home.
