Louise Burnell

Louise Burnell, 84, of Friendship passed away Monday, September 10, 2012 at the Waters of Dillsboro. She was born in Titusville, Pennsylvania on January 19, 1928 the daughter of Fred and Emma Renniger Shirey. She was married to Cleo Burnell on April 19, 1948 and he preceded her in death on November 14, 2001. Survivors include one son Carl (Darlene) Burnell of Wright, Wyoming; two daughters Caren Sue (Mike) Bougher of Sheridan and Cheryl Burnell of Friendship; grandchildren Robert (Tina) Bougher of Burlington, Kelly (Ryan) Moore of Gerald, Missouri, Cen (Tammie) Burnell of Kaycee, Wyoming, and Collene Burnell of Gainesville, Texas, and 7 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, five sisters and two brothers. Mrs. Burnell was a homemaker and enjoyed baking and cooking. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 14 at 11am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Sherman Hughes of the Bear Creek Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Akers Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5pm to 8pm. Memorials may be given to the Friendship Fire Department in care of the funeral home.
