Lucille D. Morris

Lucille D. Morris, 80, of Versailles passed away Saturday, August 16, 2003 at the Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. She was born at Benham on February 26, 1923, the daughter of Harry and Delcene Steele Eaton. She was married to Glenn Morris on September 26, 1942 and he preceded her in death on July 4, 1997. Mrs. Morris was a 1942 graduate of Versailles High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Versailles Baptist Church and attended the Tyson United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughters Brenda Whitaker and husband Doug of Lafayette and Connie Morris of Versailles; grandsons Chad Whitaker of West Lafayette and Matthew Whitaker of Lafayette and one great-granddaughter Ellie Lynn Whitaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Bill Eaton, Chester Eaton, Jesse Eaton and Howard Eaton, and her sisters Helen Bultman, Hilda White, Esther Brunner, and Katherine Francis. Visitation will be Monday, August 18 from 5pm to 8pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles. Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 19 at 2pm at the funeral home with Dale Day of the Versailles Church of Christ and Rev. Michael Hendrix of the Tyson United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Cliff Hill Cemetery at Versailles. Memorials may be given to the cemetery or the cancer fund.
